When you arrive at our private gated property, a member of our team will welcome you through the gate and greet you at the entrance. We'll help you with your luggage, baby gear, and anything else you may need so you can settle in without feeling rushed.
After a brief tour of the home, we'll escort you to your private suite where you'll find a thoughtfully prepared space stocked with postpartum recovery supplies, newborn essentials, comfortable linens, nourishing refreshments, and everything you'll need to begin healing.
Once you've had a chance to get comfortable, you'll meet the postpartum doula who will be caring for you during your stay. She will take time to learn about your birth experience, your recovery, your feeding goals, your concerns, and what matters most to you. Together, you'll begin creating a personalized plan that supports both your immediate needs and the remainder of your 40-Day Maternal Confinement after you return home.

One of the most meaningful parts of your stay is the relationship you'll build with your postpartum doula.
She is far more than a caregiver. She is your educator, encourager, extra set of hands, listening ear, and experienced guide through the early days of motherhood.
She'll be there to answer questions, help with newborn care, assist with feeding, prepare you for life at home, celebrate your victories, and reassure you during moments of uncertainty.
Our hope is that by the time you leave, you'll feel like you've gained both knowledge and a trusted source of support.

No two mothers recover in exactly the same way, so there is no rigid schedule to follow.
Some mornings you may choose to sleep in while your doula cares for your baby between feedings. Other days you may spend hours holding your newborn, enjoying quiet conversations, or taking time to simply rest.
Some mothers spend much of their stay resting. Others enjoy learning, asking questions, and preparing for the transition home. Your recovery guides each day.

Throughout your day, you may enjoy
Healing requires nourishment.
Our culinary team prepares plant-forward meals inspired by postpartum traditions from around the world and designed to support healing, energy, breastfeeding, and overall maternal wellness.
Fresh fruit, healthy snacks, herbal teas, broths, and beverages are always available, because recovery doesn't happen on a schedule.
Meals may be enjoyed privately in your suite or shared with other mothers in our dining room, creating opportunities for connection if and when you feel ready.

Your personalized recovery plan may include a variety of restorative therapies inspired by maternal healing traditions practiced across the world.
Depending on your stage of recovery and your individual needs, your care may include:
Every recommendation is individualized. Your doula will help determine which therapies are appropriate for your recovery and when they should be introduced.

For many mothers, the greatest gift we can offer is uninterrupted rest.
During the night, your postpartum doula lovingly cares for your baby between feedings according to your family's preferences.
When it's time to feed, your baby is brought to you. Afterward, your doula assists with burping, diaper changes, soothing, swaddling, and settling your baby back to sleep so you can return to resting as quickly as possible.
Even a few additional hours of quality sleep can make an incredible difference in physical recovery, emotional well-being, and confidence during the postpartum period.

Partners and immediate family are welcome during designated visiting hours, and we encourage meaningful opportunities to learn, bond, and participate in your recovery together.
We also offer education for partners so they leave feeling confident in how to continue supporting you after returning home.
To preserve the peaceful atmosphere of the retreat, overnight accommodations for visitors are not available.
We've prepared your suite with many of the items you'll need so you can travel lightly. We recommend bringing a few personal items, and we'll provide the rest.

Before you leave, your doula will review your progress, answer any remaining questions, and help you prepare for the weeks ahead.
Together, you'll discuss feeding, sleep, healing, emotional well-being, and practical strategies for continuing your recovery at home.
You'll also receive your personalized 40-Day Recovery Guide, giving you the confidence to continue practicing the principles of the 40-Day Maternal Confinement long after your stay has ended.
Our goal isn't simply to help you recover while you're here. It's to help you thrive after you leave.

We'd be honored to care for you during one of life's most important transitions.
